We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton. Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removal centres under one management structure, making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents. We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician who can dispense and is ACT qualified; you will be working alongside 8 other Pharmacy Technicians, and you will be based within the healthcare department.

Hours:

This is a permanent full time role:

  • Monday - Sunday service
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 8.30am - 4.30pm / 7am - 7.30pm
  • Rota's are done 4 weeks in advance

Salary:

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £34,125 - £41,475 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
  • Deliver non- judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
