Job summary

A healthcare organization in the United Kingdom is looking for a highly motivated Pharmacy Dispenser to enhance its technical teams. Overview

Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary  Band 2/3 depending on qualifications and experience - see job description and specification for more details.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to support and enhance our technical teams based at the two sites. The role requires working at both locations.

Responsibilities
  • Dispensing and labelling a wide range of medicines for in-patients, out-patients and discharges.
  • Working at ward level as part of a discharge team.
  • Greeting patients at the pharmacy reception, receiving and issuing prescriptions.
  • Meeting high standards in a patient‑focused service while working accurately and quickly under pressure.
  • Participating in extended hours, including late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Qualifications and Training
  • Good communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.
  • Full training will be provided; a candidate must study for and gain NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
  • NVQ2 qualification holders with relevant pharmacy experience will be appointed to the band 3 post.
  • If you already hold a Level 4 qualification you may be required to self‑fund this qualification.
