Job Role

We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team.

Our pharmacies are part of a group of fourteen branches, with six in Guernsey and eight in Jersey. They are owned by the Channel Islands Cooperative Society, a locally-owned cooperative group with food stores and healthcare teams. We're seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacist to join our warm and friendly team. We have a genuine, patient-oriented approach to our care and pride ourselves on striving for excellence in all we do for our patients and community.

Responsibilities
  1. Dispensing medicines, appliances, and other medical devices in accordance with the Code of Ethics.
  2. Providing advice on treatments, ensuring compatibility, liaising with doctors, supervising pharmacy assistants and dispensers, and performing various ad hoc tasks.
  3. Offering information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
  4. Providing specialized services to help patients manage conditions.
  5. Advising patients and selling appropriate OTC medicines.
  6. Counselling patients on minor ailments.
  7. Controlling and providing accurate advice to help patients maintain and improve their health.
  8. Analyzing prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
  9. Coordinating teams and delivering all pharmacy services.
  10. Ordering pharmaceutical and medical supplies, maintaining stock, and storing items properly.
  11. Working in accordance with standard operating procedures, legal, and ethical guidelines.
  12. Maintaining professional knowledge in line with the General Pharmaceutical Council's expectations for continued professional development.
