Bellevue Pharmacy is an Independent Community Pharmacy based in Newport and we are looking for the right individual to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an excellent team player who is innovative with great communication and interpersonal skills who would like to excel in their profession and make a difference to patient care. The successful candidate will need to be currently working or has worked recently in a community pharmacy and have the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Community Pharmacy is in an exciting period, where more clinical services are being offered to improve access to healthcare for our patients. We would like to supplement our team so that we can provide an extended range of NHS and Private services. The positions which we are looking to fulfil are for a Qualified Accredited Checking Technician and a Qualified Dispensing Technician.

The candidates will need to be GPHC registered.

Two Full-time positions are available for the right candidates. The working hours during the week will be 9-6pm, as well as occasional Saturday's 9-1pm.

Main duties of the job

A Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. The main duties will include:

  1. Dispensing Medications: Assisting in the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications accurately.
  2. Patient Interaction: Providing patients with basic advice on medication usage, side effects, and storage.
  3. Inventory Management: Managing stock levels, ordering medications, and ensuring proper storage.
  4. Prescription Handling: Receiving and verifying prescriptions, checking for accuracy, and ensuring legal and safety requirements are met.
  5. Supporting Pharmacist: Helping pharmacists with more complex tasks, such as counseling patients or managing prescriptions that require special handling.
  6. Pharmacy Services: Being instrumental in developing and maintaining community pharmacy services.

In addition to these core duties, Pharmacy Technicians will ensure a high level of patient care and contribute to maintaining the overall efficiency of the pharmacy.
