Reeson Education is proud to be supporting a specialist SEN school in their search for a Personal Development Coordinator. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate educator to take on a key role in shaping the future of young people through a rich and inclusive Personal Development curriculum.

As a Personal Development Coordinator, you will be instrumental in delivering PSHE, Life Skills, Careers Education (CEIAG), and Independence Training. You\'ll work closely with the Head of Personal Development to ensure pupils receive the support and guidance they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head of Personal Development to deliver a high-quality curriculum.
  • Teach PSHE and Life Skills lessons that promote safety, health, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Support the Careers Programme in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks.
  • Respond to emerging pupil needs by designing tailored PSHE content.
  • Work with safeguarding staff to ensure pupil welfare is embedded in curriculum planning.
  • Lead the School Council and promote pupil leadership and voice.
  • Track and evidence progress in Personal Development, SMSC, EDI, and the hidden curriculum.

The Personal Development Coordinator will play a vital role in promoting holistic growth and preparing students for life beyond school.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of PSHE, RSE, CEIAG statutory guidance, and the Gatsby Benchmarks.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and curriculum development.

Desirable:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in SEN settings, particularly with ASC or SEMH needs.
  • Additional qualifications in PSHE, Careers Education, or SEN.
