We are looking to recruit an experienced Autism Support Worker to provide support for a 5-year-old male child with a diagnosis of Autism, Global Development Delay, PICA, ADHD and is also non-verbal. The role involves support for this little boy to enable him to access fun activities at home initially, as he faces many challenges in being able to cope with being out and about in the local community. His favourite activities include playing with bubbles and balloons, playing on his swing and rocking on his ball. He also enjoys passing the ball back and forth, reading sensory books especially ‘the very hungry caterpillar’; dancing (spinning) to the music on his keyboard and doing puzzles.

Main Duties

  • Due to the child’s complex needs linked to his Autism, we are looking for someone with experience of working with Autistic children with associated challenging behaviours. Experience of working with children who are non-verbal would also be an advantage.
