Personal Banker – Nottingham (Supporting Derby & Leicester)

Location: Nottingham (support Derby and Leicester branches when needed)

Salary: Up to £26,000

Contract: Permanent

Full Time: 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial health checks and manage a portfolio of customers, aiding them in opening, managing and optimising their bank accounts.
  • Pro‑actively manage financial needs, identify opportunities to add value and help customers realise the full benefits of our services, both assisted and digitally.
  • Process applications for banking products including current, savings and credit accounts.
  • Fulfil customers’ requests such as verification of account details and printing of documents.
  • Discuss bank policies and procedures and any changes affecting them.
  • Refer customers to in‑house experts or relevant departments as necessary.
  • Resolve queries and complaints about accounts and banking services.
  • Perform routine administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach to excellent customer service.
  • Clear experience within a sales role is essential.
  • High levels of energy, resilience and self‑motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to achieve defined objectives/targets on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of banking processes, rules and regulations (advantageous).
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Computer literate with ability to navigate multiple systems quickly.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and juggle multiple tasks from opening new accounts to advising on products and services and dealing with a wide range of customer queries.
  • Proactive approach to educating and supporting customers and community engagement.
  • Right to work in the UK at this time.
