Personal Assistant required to support male age 20 who lives in Chester‑Le‑Street area
Key Responsibilities

Support a 20‑year‑old client who enjoys football, Sunderland matches, ten‑pin bowling, trains, traveling on the metro, football training, and fast‑food places. Assist with general life skills, such as bus travel, paying for things, and visiting new places to build confidence and independence.

Provide companionship and encourage participation in hobbies while managing occasional challenging behaviour and meltdowns with a positive and reliable approach.

Work with the client during two days a week: term‑time 15 hours (Thursday & Friday, 9:00–16:30) and non‑term‑time up to 20 hours with schedules subject to change according to the college rota.

Hours / Wage

Term time: 15 hours per week (Thursday & Friday, 9:00–16:30).
Non‑term time: up to 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00–16:30 or evenings). Wage: £13 per hour.

Duties

Take the client out for leisure activities, such as football matches, and facilitate daily life skills practice using bus passes and shopping. Encourage community engagement.

Additional Requirements

Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism. Patience and resilience required to handle demanding situations. Car or driving experience preferable but not essential; encouragement of public transport usage is expected. Must obtain Enhanced DBS, which will be covered by the employer.
