Job description
Overview

Two caring and supportive personal assistants are required for an energetic, happy and lively 6-year-old boy living in the St Germans area. He has ASD and is non-verbal, and he would like two adults who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 2:1 support.

Responsibilities
  • Support his communication and social skills out in the community.
  • Explore the local area, enjoy more social opportunities, and establish an engaging routine, particularly during weekends and school holidays.
  • Assist with swimming, parks and soft play activities.
Role Details
  • Part-time, with 4 hours per week available, although this is very flexible.
  • Weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
  • Hourly rate is £15.00 plus mileage allowance.
  • Car driver required with business class insurance.
Qualifications
  • Experience or knowledge of working with young people with SEND is essential.
  • Private arrangement with the family; not employed by Cornwall Council.
