Job summary

A construction management company is seeking a Supervisor for PWAY - Track in Belfast. In this role, you will coordinate all aspects of Permanent Way construction, ensuring safety, compliance with quality standards, and effective management of onsite activities. Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of permanent way principles and relevant track standards, along with necessary safety management training. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead track works on significant projects in Northern Ireland.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction principles and interfaces.
  • Trained in Safety Management protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of track operations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate all Permanent Way aspects of construction.
  • Control onsite technical activities and manpower.
  • Conduct site visits and analyze progress.

Skills

Job title: Supervisor - PWAY - Track

Type: Contract

Location: Belfast

Rate: Dependent on experience

Role

You will be expected to co‑ordinate all Permanent Way aspects of construction and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver construction work safely to the level of quality expected by the company and the Client on site; to budget and in line with all relevant standards, processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Undertaking the role of supervisor for Pway track works on projects in Northern Ireland
  • Carrying out analysis, site visits and progress work as directed
  • Controlling all onsite technical activities and manpower
Essential requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of permanent way and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
  • Safety Management training.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of track standards, processes and procedures.
  • Site based work previously
