Job summary

A top football club in Birmingham is seeking a Sports Psychologist to support its Women’s First Team. The ideal candidate will create and manage a Football Performance Psychology Programme to enhance athlete performance. Responsibilities include close collaboration with players and coaching staff, along with providing essential feedback to foster player development. You must hold a valid BPS accreditation, HCPC registration, and possess a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology. This permanent, full-time position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • BPS accredited and HCPC registered Sports Psychologist.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering effective performance psychology interventions.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by Women’s elite players.

Responsibilities

  • Devise and manage a Football Performance Psychology Programme.
  • Work closely with Women’s First Team players and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide feedback to staff on player development.

Skills

Experience in elite level sport
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build rapport
Mental Health First Aider accredited
