PE Teacher – Maternity Cover (Fixed‑term contract)

What skills and experience we’re looking for

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated female PE teacher to join our team on a fixed‑term maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality education to students, fostering their academic and personal growth, and contributing to the overall improvement and development of the academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Facilitate a learning experience that allows students to achieve their individual potential.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student progress and attainment.
  • Ensure a high‑quality learning experience for students that meets internal and external quality standards.
  • Prepare and update subject materials.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to stimulate learning.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and development.
  • Participate in the development of syllabuses, resources, and teaching strategies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
