Overview

PDMS Design Modeller - outside IR35 contract - North West

Are you a PDMS Designer/Modeller, with experience working on HVAC systems? Are you based within a commutable distance to Manchester or willing to live/work away? We currently have a requirement for a contract PDMS Designer, this position is an outside IR35 contract and offers an immediate start. You will be working on and involved in the delivery of PDMS modelling on large scale nuclear projects, with a specific emphasis on HVAC/Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide PDMS Design and modelling services to support project delivery on large scale Nuclear projects.
• Deliver on an agreed package of PDMS outputs, ensuring design models and deliverables can be progressed.
• Production of 3D models for HVAC, pipework, bracketry and small steelwork.
• Develop and update of model layouts, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Generation of design outputs in relation to HVAC/pipework.
• Independent clash detection and model coordination across multi-disciplinary systems.
• Support and review of supplier 3D models.
• Provide PDMS design and modelling services covering large scale HVAC systems.
• Exporting accurate fabrication and installation drawings from PDMS.

Qualifications and experience

• A strong background in PDMS Design and modelling (plant design management system).
• Experience producing HVAC/Pipework models for large scale projects.
• Ideally experience within the regulated sector space (defence, Nuclear, Oil and Gas).
• An understanding of QA/QC processes and design standards for HVAC/Mechanical systems.
• Strong ability to provide independent deliverables and work to agreed scope.
• Located in the North West or willing to live/work away.
