  • Experience within a payroll bureau or similar environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple intervals.
  • Administer workplace pensions and handle PAYE closures.
  • Coordinate with HMRC and onboard new payroll clients.
  • Provide expert payroll support via phone and email.
  • Contribute to the training and development of the payroll team.
  • Assist in process improvements and complete analysis tasks.
  • Manage BACS payments, pension schemes, and advanced payroll functions.
  • Advise the Payroll Manager on payroll procedure enhancements.

This is your opportunity to be instrumental in shaping their payroll services, overseeing pension schemes and providing top‑notch client/colleague support.

If you are an experienced payroller with a keen eye for detail and a passion for managing complex payrolls who thrives in fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environments, this is for you.

Role Summary

As Payroll Senior, you'll be entrusted with managing payrolls from end to end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will liaise directly with HMRC, onboard new payroll clients, and handle advanced payroll tasks such as setting up pension schemes and managing PAYE closures. Beyond payroll, you'll also have the opportunity to develop the team, enhance processes, and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a range of payroll intervals
  • Administer workplace pensions and handle PAYE scheme closures
  • Coordinate with HMRC and onboard new payroll clients
  • Provide expert payroll support via phone and email, ensuring excellent client relationships
  • Contribute to the training and development of the payroll administration team
  • Assist in process improvements and complete key analysis tasks
  • Manage BACS payments, pension schemes, and other advanced payroll functions
  • Advise the Payroll Manager on ways to enhance payroll procedures/structures
