Overview

A fantastic and growing company near Haywards Heath is seeking a new member of the Payroll team team! This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for weekly paid employees while supporting HR administration.

This is a full-time Monday-Friday position with scope for hybrid working once settled.

Duties

Manage payroll processing each pay cycle, ensuring all relevant information is collected, verified, and entered accurately

Provide prompt support to employees and managers by addressing payroll-related enquiries professionally

Contribute to payroll reconciliations and produce reports for use internally and by external parties

Follow established payroll procedures and remain compliant with current legislation and regulations

Safeguard the privacy and security of employee pay information at all times

Enter and update employee details on the HR system, including new joiners, leavers, and contractual changes

Carry out manual calculations and corrections when needed to ensure payroll accuracy

Maintain payroll databases and spreadsheets, checking data regularly for accuracy and consistency

Assist with pension processes including auto-enrolment administration

Offer wider HR administrative support such as onboarding and offboarding tasks, recruitment coordination, right-to-work checks, document handling, and reference requests

What we're looking for

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong payroll experience and bring a desire to progress and develop, whilst contributing the the success of the organisation! You must live within a 1hr commute of the office location.
