A recruitment agency is looking for a Temporary Payments / Payroll Administrator to join their Payments team in Chester. This is a full-time office-based role with an immediate start, offering a salary equivalent of £24,000 - £25,275. Candidates should have experience in payroll administration, handling timesheets, and managing invoicing. The position involves processing payments for subcontractors and employees, addressing payment queries, and ensuring accurate financial records. This role is suited for those able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and offers an opportunity to quickly add value to the team.

This is an immediate start temporary role, ideal for someone with experience in payroll administration, timesheets, invoicing, or payment processing, who can hit the ground running and provide short-term cover during a busy period.
You’ll be joining a friendly, organised, and motivated Payments team, supporting the accurate and timely processing of payments for subcontractors and employees. You’ll have responsibility for your own workload, with support from the Payments Manager throughout the assignment.
This role would suit someone who already has some hands‑on experience in a finance or payroll environment and is comfortable stepping into a busy role at short notice.
