Job summary

Haxby Group is looking for a Patient Services Advisor to help patients access healthcare services efficiently. You will direct patients face-to-face or by phone, provide courteous assistance, and support the smooth running of the practice.

The role requires excellent communication, empathy, and IT skills. You will join an enthusiastic team with induction, training, and opportunities for career development, including a structured rota with some evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to listen and empathise with patients.
• Good IT literacy and ability to use booking systems.
• Flexible approach for evenings and Saturdays per rota.

Responsibilities

• Open/close practice premises and ensure security.
• Maintain and monitor the appointment system.
• Process appointment requests and direct patients to the right professional.
• Answer internal and external calls when required.
• Provide clerical support and routine site maintenance.
• Process repeat prescriptions per guidelines.
• Support Health and Safety and data entry tasks.
• Handle front-desk administration, cash handling for private work.
