Responsibilities
  • Support the administration and scheduling of an expanded programme of work for the Care of the Elderly Service, including day case, inpatient and outpatient activity.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to a patient’s care pathway, tracking and supporting patients from referral to treatment and/or discharge.
  • Handle patient-facing activity and manage queries from patients, clinicians and staff; provide high standards of customer service.
  • Utilise excellent telephone skills and good IT proficiency to assist with day-to-day duties.
  • Be able to work at both hospital sites for several days each week.
  • Report to the Service Manager for Care of the Elderly and work closely with the Care of the Elderly Administrative and Clerical team.
