Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Wirral is seeking a Patient Co-Ordination Officer to support daily front-of-house operations and clinician services across site(s). You will manage reception tasks, assist with patient records, and respond to requests from patients, visitors and staff to ensure smooth daily flow.

Responsibilities

• Open the building each morning: switch on lights and computers and prepare rooms for the day.
• Close the building each evening: lock cupboards, windows and doors.
• Respond to requests from patients, visitors and doctors; support clinicians as required.
• Request tests on behalf of clinicians via ICE portal.
• Manage patient notes; ensure records are complete and accurate.
• Liaise with ambulance service, hospital clinics, other practices and community services.
• Assist with keeping staff areas clean per Infection Control Procedures; may join kitchen rota.
• Maintain security measures: locking doors and setting alarms where relevant.
• Keep up-to-date with Practice Policy and Procedures.
• Work flexibly across sites and cover staff during absences or sickness.
• Assist and supporting training of new staff; support QOF targets.
• Support Practice Supervisors and Management in daily running of the Practice.
