Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Appointment Co-Ordinator to join the Women’s Services team. The role supports efficient clinic utilisation, manages patient appointments, and provides a friendly, professional service throughout the patient journey.

You will book appointments, maintain waiting lists, contribute to waiting time statistics, and act as a first point of contact for queries, escalating issues as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience supporting appointment systems or similar administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Book and advise patients of appointments following agreed protocols.
• Ensure lists are booked to full capacity and suggest adjustments to meet clinic demand.
• Assist in producing waiting time statistics and maintain accurate records.
• Be first point of contact for appointment queries and escalate complaints as needed.
