Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Clinical Care Co-Ordinator to join our Women’s Services team on Wirral. You will help coordinate appointments, manage clinic bookings, and ensure patients receive a friendly, efficient service throughout their journey.

The role demands excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Audio Typing skills are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Book referrals to appropriate clinics and coordinate investigations within deadlines or escalate delays as needed.
• Provide information leaflets to patients before attending clinics.
• Obtain and relay test results per departmental protocol by liaising with the specialist team.
• Ring patients to coordinate appointments and care as needed.
• Assist in patient assessment and monitoring to develop individualised care plans with a registered practitioner.
• Liaise with histology, radiology, anaesthetic, pre-operative and admission teams to coordinate care; on-site visits may be required.
