We are seeking a dedicated Pastry Commis Chef to join the pastry team. Working under experienced senior chefs you will assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality desserts pastries breads and afternoon tea items for both the restaurant and the hotels wider offering.
This role is ideal for someone early in their pastry career or a Commis Chef looking to specialise in the pastry section.
Assist with the preparation of pastry items desserts breads cakes and afternoon tea components
Support the Pastry Chef and senior team in day‑to‑day mise en place
Maintain high levels of organisation cleanliness and stock rotation
Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency across all pastry products
Learn new techniques and contribute to a smooth well‑run pastry section
Uphold strict standards of food safety allergen control and hygiene
Support service periods as required including plating and finishing desserts
Some experience in a professional kitchen (pastry experience desirable but not essential)
Genuine passion for pastry desserts and baking
Keen to learn develop and progress within a structured supportive team
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
Calm reliable and committed to high standards
A positive team player with a proactive can‑do attitude
