The ideal candidate has strong literacy skills, experience with students with SEMH needs, and excellent communication skills. • Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to student welfare.
• Support the delivery of pastoral interventions and mentoring programmes.
• Use ICT systems confidently to record, track, and report pastoral information.

About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment are currently supporting our client, a forward-thinking and inclusive academy based in St Albans, in their search for a dedicated Pastoral Leader to join their team from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people across the academy's Hertfordshire sites.

As Pastoral Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting students' wellbeing, personal development, and academic engagement. You will work across the curriculum and wider school community to help remove barriers to learning, nurture positive behaviour, and promote resilience and respect among students.

Key Responsibilities
