Job description

We're recruiting for a motivated and ambitious Parts Manager in our Hyundai/Vanstore in Carlisle. As a Parts Manager for Arnold Clark, you will be responsible for our wholesale large parts operation and for supplying parts to our workshop and Repair Centre. This is a busy and responsible role that involves delivering high levels of customer service while showing leadership skills, organisation and an ability to motivate your team to success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily workload, including sales objectives and marketing
• Deal with management accounts and KPIs
• Develop sales by liaising with the call centre and working with Marketing to create effective campaigns
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure strong communication between staff and customers
• Manage stock, understand what is needed and provide an industry‑leading range of parts
• Nurture staff skills, following a programme of regular appraisals and career development
• Show a positive, ambitious attitude with a focus on great customer service
• Demonstrate great communication and influencing skills
• Possess financial knowledge, including experience of accounts and KPIs
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and fantastic attention to detail
• Understand stock parameters, including control of potential obsolescence
• Multi‑task and deliver great results, even under pressure
• Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Preferably have knowledge of automotive management systems (Kerridge)
