Job Description

Purpose of the role: The Parts & Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing all operational and strategic activities related to parts, accessories, and logistics within the automotive sector. The role ensures the efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of components to guarantee timely deliveries, service quality, and high customer satisfaction (dealers, authorized workshops, or end customers).

  • Manage parts order lifecycle: purchase orders, confirmations, inbound receiving, quality inspection, put away, and distribution to the dealer network; ensure data accuracy in ERP/WMS.
  • Coordinate logistics with suppliers.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory: stock levels, replenishment, safety stock, obsolescence, turnover, and availability.
  • Analyze logistics KPIs (fill rate, OTIF, order accuracy, backorders, lead time, damages/losses) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Handle anomalies and claims: shortages, delays, damaged goods, wrong picks; manage corrective actions with suppliers/3PLs and communicate clearly with dealers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Service, Warranty, Technical Support, Quality, Planning, Sales, Finance) to align demand plans, support campaigns/recalls, and resolve systemic issues.
  • Validate parts eligibility and availability for warranty repairs and service campaigns/recalls.
  • Share logistics insights and root causes with Warranty and Quality to reduce repeat issues and costs.
Qualifications
Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts operations, distribution processes.
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain planning concepts (replenishment, safety stock, demand variability) and forecasting basics.
  • Familiarity with customs/import-export procedures, EHS, dangerous goods handling, and compliance requirements.
  • Awareness of warranty processes as they relate to parts: eligibility rules, returns logistics, traceability, and documentation standards.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced use of ERP and WMS for ordering, inventory, receiving, picking/packing, and shipping; mastery of data accuracy and master data hygiene.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; ability to build KPI dashboards and conduct trend/variance analysis; experience with Power BI or similar is a plus. Desirable tools: SAP (MM/SD/EWM)
  • Logistics planning and execution: shipment scheduling, carrier coordination, track & trace, exception management, and freight claim handling.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management across Service, Warranty, Technical Support, Quality, Planning, and Finance.
Experience
  • 3 years in automotive parts logistics, supply chain, or PDC operations with direct exposure to dealer/customer support.
  • Proven experience with parts ordering and fulfillment, inventory control, and coordination with suppliers, warehouses, and carriers.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP/WMS and logistics KPI reporting; involvement in process improvement/digitalization initiatives.
  • Desirable: exposure to warranty‑related parts returns, traceability, and collaboration with Warranty/Technical/Quality teams; experience with SAP or similar tier‑1 ERP.
