About The Role

As a Parts Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of the repair process. Working as part of an experienced team, you will be responsible for the procurement, management and distribution of vehicle parts, paint and materials, ensuring a seamless workflow and maximum productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and order parts ensuring the most cost‑effective solution (dealers OE, trade outlets OES and salvage Green)
  • Ensure all parts and materials are correctly allocated and costed for each job.
  • Work closely with parts, reception and workshop teams to ensure timely parts order/delivery operational processes.
  • Professionally handle parts‑related queries, providing prompt and accurate responses.
  • Administer returns and liaise with accounts teams regarding discrepancies or exceptional items.
  • Undertake final pricing (FP) in preparation for final‑costing (FC) by Vehicle Damage Assessors (VDA)
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace in line with company policies.

This role is integral to ensuring parts availability, workshop efficiency and cost control, directly contributing to the customer experience and business profitability.

You are a highly experienced Parts Advisor or Parts Controller with a commercial mindset and a passion for delivering high standards of accuracy, efficiency and customer service. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and take pride in ensuring that every part is in the right place at the right time. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, always seeking ways to enhance operational performance.

What We Look For
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in identifying OE, Non‑OE and Green parts from the most suitable suppliers.
  • Competence in using automotive parts systems and stock management software.
  • Ability to accurately identify and manage automotive parts and consumables.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Proactive approach to handling parts shortages, supplier issues and workflow challenges.
  • Openness to developing skills and supporting the wider admin team as needed.
