Job summary

DAF Trucks UK is seeking a Parts Advisor in Leeds to provide a professional parts sales service across counter, phone and online channels. You will replenish stocks per health and safety rules and help grow the parts business.

The role requires night shift availability, strong communication, PC skills and a passion for trucks. Training through the DAF Academy is offered and opportunities for progression exist.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or similar in HGV, commercial vehicle, motor trade, or related sector.
• Experience in Warehouse/Stores with passion for trucks and parts.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work unsupervised on night shift.
• PC literate.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional parts sales service to internal and external customers face to face, over the trade counter, telephone and online.
• Efficiently replenish stocks in line with health and safety regulations, creating new locations where necessary.
• Promote and encourage growth of the parts business.
• Utilise parts identification tools to ensure effective and quick customer response.
• Maintain records for all service exchange parts supplied/returned.

Who are we looking for as a Parts Advisor:

• You will have previous experience working as a Parts Advisor or similar role within the HGV, commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector.
• Or have experience within a Warehouse / Stores environment and have a passion for trucks and know your truck / car parts.
• A customer focused individual with excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working unsupervised whilst on night shift.
• PC Literate.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Parts Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

You will provide a professional parts sales service to internal and external customers face to face, over the trade counter, telephone and online. To efficiently replenish stocks in accordance with health and safety regulations, creating new locations where necessary. Promote and encourage growth of the parts business. Utilise all parts identification tools to ensure effective and efficient customer response. Maintain competent and complete records for all service exchange parts supplied/returned.

Working: Tuesday to Friday 6pm – 6am.
