Interaction Technical is seeking a Parts Advisor to join the Grantham team. The role involves providing expert parts advice to customers, handling enquiries and orders, and ensuring accurate stock management.

You will support workshops and maintain strong customer relationships in a busy parts department. The successful candidate will have previous parts experience, strong communication skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in roles such as Parts Advisor or Parts Specialist.
• Knowledge of vehicle, commercial vehicle, HGV, plant or industrial parts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with accurate order and stock transactions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Computer literate with experience using stock control or parts management systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert parts advice to internal and external customers.
• Handle enquiries, orders and quotations by phone, email and in person.
• Process parts orders using internal systems.
• Maintain customer relationships through service and technical support.

Location: Grantham
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Hours: Monday to Friday (with occasional rota-based weekend cover)

The Duties

• Provide expert parts advice and support to both internal and external customers.
• Handle customer enquiries, orders and quotations via phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
• Process parts orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships through professional service and technical support.
• Assist with stock control, inventory management and goods receipting.
• Check deliveries against accompanying documentation and ensure parts are stored correctly.
• Support workshop and service departments with parts availability and ordering.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry across inventory systems.
• Work to departmental targets and customer service standards.

The Requirements

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Person, Parts Specialist or similar role.
• Knowledge of vehicle, commercial vehicle, HGV, plant, construction equipment, automotive or industrial parts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and stock transactions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
• Computer literate with experience using stock control or parts management systems.Positive and professional approach to customer interactions.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, organised and commercially aware, with experience working within a busy parts environment. This role would suit candidates from HGV, commercial vehicle, plant, construction equipment, automotive, fleet maintenance or industrial machinery backgrounds who enjoy building customer relationships and providing exceptional service.
