Part Time Youth Support Worker

Ref: HM7067 Salary: £11.60-£12.60 hr Contract Type: Permanent Location: Folkestone

We are recruiting for a part time Youth Team Support Worker to work alongside young people 10-18 years of age on a project based in the Folkestone area.

No formal qualifications are required, as full training on all subjects will be provided, but as a Youth Team Support Worker, it’s about supporting the social, emotional and physical development of young people.

Together with a qualified YTSW you will help to deliver preventative education, and this could include subjects such as: education covering drugs, substance / alcohol abuse, vape smoking, positive relationships, hate crime, mental health support, coping with often complex family issues etc., all delivered in an informal way.

The activities are numerous, but include:

  • art
  • crafts
  • DIY
  • gardening
  • board games pool
  • basketball
  • sustainability
  • music
  • photography
  • sexual health
  • cooking

9 hours per week – split over 2 evenings each 4.5 hours

No weekend work

Rate of pay: £11.60 per hour - £12.60 per hour, depending on experience.

You must also be able to complete a DBS at no cost to yourself.
