Job summary

A community transport company is seeking a Driver for Special Needs & Community Transport in Great Dunmow. This role offers guaranteed monthly pay, a company vehicle, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the community. No experience is needed as full training is provided. Candidates must have a valid UK driving licence, the ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check, and be available for morning and afternoon shifts on school days.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence (car category).
• Confidence in driving a variety of vehicles, including people carriers.
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check for safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure passengers travel safely to and from schools.
• Build friendly relationships with passengers and staff.

Skills

Job Title: Driver - Special Needs & Community Transport

Salary: £518 - £1000.00 per month (route dependent)

Hours: 12.5 to 20 per week (varies by route)

Your Role

As a valued member of our team, you’ll provide safe and reliable transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities. You’ll be responsible for:

• Ensuring passengers travel safely to and from schools or other locations
• Building professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff
• Following safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
• Being available for morning and afternoon shifts on school days
  
  

What You Need

• A valid UK driving licence (car category)
• Confidence in driving a variety of vehicles, including people carriers and wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided)
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check (criminal record check)
• Completion of a Group 2 medical assessment to meet licensing standards
