Job summary

A successful creative consultancy is seeking a Part-time Management Accountant to assist with financial reporting and cash management. The role requires strong management accounting skills and proficiency in Paprika and Excel. You'll be integral to month-end processes and support the financial director. This position offers a competitive salary and a hybrid work model in Oxshott, England.

Part-time Management Accountant – Salary up to £55,000 FTE – VFR3196

Role: Part-time Management Accountant

FTC: 12-month Mat Cover – Quick Start Needed Mid / End August

Part Time: 3-4 days a week

Location: Islington – hybrid 2 days in the office

Reporting to: Finance Director

VisionFR is delighted to be assisting a highly successful creative consultancy, part of a fun growing network. The Management Accountant will be an integral part of the finance team and directly works with key stakeholders. You will be good at Revenue Recognition and commercial aspects of the business together with running the full month end process. You will be keeping finance systems and practices in line with commercial requirements that support business growth and change. You’ll support the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities of the Part-time Management Accountant
Management Accounting
  • Assist with month-end close and management account preparation process, ensuring strict deadlines are met
  • Revenue recognition – work with Commercial Operations team to ensure the correct revenue has been allocated to the correct period based on tasks complete
  • Complete submission of monthly figures to Group
  • Support preparation of monthly management reporting pack
Cash Management
  • Prepare detailed fortnightly cashflow forecast
  • Work with Finance Assistant to ensure all inflows and outflows are being incorporated into cashflow forecast
  • Manage treasury accordingly and inform DoF of how we are tracking, noting any significant movements expected over the next 3 months
Financial Accounting
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts (salary control, pensions, PAYE, NI, etc.)
  • Support preparation of documentation required for year-end financials
Commercial Finance
  • Prepare weekly revenue forecasts, liaise with client development team to ensure accurate information is being reported to Group
  • Analyse timesheet information, to determine employee utilisation
  • Monitor and report profitability, by department and product, preparing reports for senior management
Financial Stewardship and Systems
  • Support with the implementation of Sage Intacct, scheduled to go live on 1 January 2026
  • Ensure the team provides high quality, accurate and timely finance information to the business
  • Nurture working relationships across the business to ensure the finance team have the correct data to report the most accurate and up-to-date information to directors
Key Requirements for Part-time Management Accountant
  • Prior experience with Paprika is highly desirable to enable a quick and effective start
  • Management accounts experience essential
  • Ideally has experience with system implementations or a clear grasp of how financial systems are developed and maintained
  • Ability to be clear and firm with colleagues to ensure approval procedures are followed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Able to work in a small team but also self-motivated
  • Excel skills essential, with a demonstrable understanding and use of formulas
