Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in general practice preferred; full training available.
• Ability to undertake new patient health checks and record findings accurately.
• Experience in venepuncture and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team with health promotion programmes.
• Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure.
• Assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records on Systmone.
• Ensure clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared.

Ability to record accurate clinical notes

Competent in the use of Office and Outlook

Wound Care / Removal of sutures & staples

ECG

New patient medicals inc. Height, weight, BP, Pulse

Chaperone procedure

Education

GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths

NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care

Competent in Phlebotomy with proven experience

Experience of working in a GP practice

Qualified to NVQ level 4
