Qualifications

W&A is working with a successful investment firm to appoint a Part Time Finance Assistant, based in their Glasgow office. This role offers approximately 16 hours per week, worked Monday to Thursday, with some flexibility on hours.

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a broad range of finance tasks in a collaborative setting. You’ll provide day-to-day support to the finance team, helping to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger
  • Process purchase invoices and raise sales invoices
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare payment runs
  • Reconcile and analyse company credit card transactions
  • Assist with fund reporting, compliance, and month/year-end tasks
  • Support with general finance administration and ad hoc duties as required
What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience working in a small finance team
  • Confidence with invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment runs
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Xero preferred) and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational ability, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
