Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and possess a legal qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience in civil litigation.
• Experience of dealing with contentious and complex civil claims from inception to trial.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, and its application to civil claims.
• Experience in drafting witness statements, defences, and interlocutory applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of litigated civil claims against the Chief Constable.
• Investigate claims and provide a liability response.
• Draft defences, witness statements, and interlocutory applications.
