The successful candidate will support the fee-earning team, manage case files, draft legal documents, and liaise with clients. Our specialist Disputed Probate Team offers advice on all aspects of will challenges, estate claims, disputes between executors and trustees, and trust disputes and is building a new team in our Knowle office.
We are now looking to recruit an experiencedParalegal to join our team.
This role is for someone who is passionate about supporting working within disputed probate and supporting a fee earning team with delivering excellence to their clients, and we will only be reviewing applications from experienced paralegal applicants who want to join an exciting and growing business.
You will need to be IT proficient as we have invested heavily in ensuring our systems are efficient and support our business.
Review new cases: Check emails and case management systems for updates, new instructions, or deadlines.
Draft documents: Including but not limited to letters, emails, witness statements, Court documents under solicitor supervision.
Client contact: Respond accurately and quickly to queries both on email and phone, schedule meetings, and gather information about assets, beneficiaries, and family structures.
Excellent file management: Organise physical and digital files, ensuring compliance with file opening, ID checking, GDPR and firm protocols.
Instruction and typing: Ability to use BigHand for instructions from fee earners on next steps with a matter, assisting with moving a matter on in a timely manner, typing dictated correspondence and documents as needed.
CE Filing: using the Courts filing process to manage Court proceedings as required, and assistance with the preparation of court and mediation bundles.
Team collaboration: Support other teams with administration support if needed, this may include supporting front of house with client appointments, attend internal meetings, update fee earners on progress, and assist with billing or time recording.
