Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years postgraduate training with at least 2 years in relevant specialties.
• Experience in hospice or specialist palliative care settings.
• Understanding of clinical governance.
• Ability to cope in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert palliative medical care to patients in the In-patient Unit.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team and Clinical Nurse Specialists in the community.
• Be responsible for day-to-day medical management of patients in the In-patient Unit.
• Manage patient records and death certifications.

Good MS Office and IT skills

Education

Primary medical qualification

Full GMC registration
