Cheltenham College seeks to appoint a Painter and Decorator.
The Estates Department are a team of approximately 50 employees and collectively, they are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the 70-acre site including academic and residential buildings, offices, grounds and gardens. Reporting to the Works Manager and working in a small multi-trade works team, the postholder’s duties will involve carrying out ongoing decoration (including paper hanging) across the College estate, covering both interior and exterior works. Across all areas of school life, we expect our employees to carry out their duties to a high standard, and within the Estates team, drive and enthusiasm are highly valued; therefore, the role may be suitable for either an experienced Painter/Decorator looking for their next challenge or for an individual who is newer to the role and has a willingness to learn on the job.
Typical duties include general painting and decorating across the College estate, including paper hanging, with work across interior and exterior areas. The postholder will be part of a small multi-trade team and report to the Works Manager.

The salary range for this role is between £26,688 and £28,392 depending on experience.
