A leading orthopaedic hospital in the UK is seeking a Paediatric Staff Nurse to deliver high standards of care to children and families. The role includes working collaboratively in a children ward, focusing on orthopaedic surgical care. We are seeking a motivated children's nurse to join our paediatric team, in delivering high standards of care to our children and their families. To make an impact you need to be enthusiastic, organised, with good communication skills and a genuine interest in children’s orthopaedic care. The post holder will initially work on Alice ward, whilst developing skills to work in both the paediatric pre‑op and paediatric clinics.
Alice Ward is a 16‑bedded children ward, caring for children requiring orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation. Our outpatient department runs both orthopaedic, pre‑op and medical clinics.
This is a 24hr post, working 12‑hour shifts both during the day, night and weekends.
The applicant must hold a Registered Children's nursing qualification (RN8 or RNC sub Part 1 of NMC register) to apply for this post.
Under the direction of the unit manager / ward sister you will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care within a multidisciplinary environment, to ensure safe, individualised and effective care of children and their families and assist in the on‑going development of the paediatric unit, contributing to the continuity of good team spirit and high standards of nursing care.
Utilising the ward's resources to promote excellence in practice and promotes and expediting quality issues relevant to service delivery.
