A dynamic organization in Leicester seeks a highly capable Personal Assistant to support the Managing Director. The role is focused on maximizing effectiveness through strategic coordination and operational effectiveness, rather than diary management. Candidates should possess proven experience supporting senior executives, exceptional organizational skills, and strong commercial awareness. You will play a critical role in ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered and the organization moves forward efficiently.
We are seeking a highly capable, commercially minded Personal Assistant to support the Managing Director in driving the organisation forward.
This role is suited to somebody who has strong organisational abilities, business momentum and operational effectiveness.
The successful candidate will act as a strategic enabler for the Managing Director, ensuring priorities are executed, decisions are followed through and the business operates efficiently at the highest level. This role requires confidence, discretion, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage complexity across multiple workstreams.
To maximise the Managing Director’s effectiveness by:
Structuring, prioritising and coordinating business activities
Ensuring strategic initiatives progress from decision to delivery
Acting as a central point of organisation across senior stakeholders
Proactively identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities within the business
This role is focused on business organisation and forward momentum, rather than diary only or personal support.
Act as a trusted organisational partner to the Managing Director, managing priorities across strategic, operational and commercial activities
Ensure key business initiatives, projects and decisions are tracked, progressed, and delivered
Monitor progress against objectives and proactively flag delays, risks or misalignment
Prepare and structure materials for senior leadership meetings, board meetings and strategic reviews
Capture actions, decisions and outcomes, ensuring follow-up and execution
Liaise with senior leadership, external partners and stakeholders on behalf of the Managing Director
Act as a filter and gatekeeper, ensuring focus remains on high-value priorities
Design and maintain effective systems, processes and workflows to support the Managing Director and wider team
Coordinate cross-functional activity, ensuring alignment between departments
Support planning cycles, including quarterly priorities, annual objectives and business reviews
Anticipate operational challenges and proactively propose solutions
This is not a traditional PA role focused on personal errands or lifestyle management
Minimal emphasis on personal organisation; maximum emphasis on business organisation and impact
Proven experience as a PA, Executive Assistant or a similar role supporting a Managing Director, CEO or senior executive
Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how businesses operate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in a fast paced or growth focused organisation
Project coordination or operational management experience
This role is central to the effectiveness of the Managing Director and the performance of the wider business. You will play a critical role in ensuring strategy turns into action, priorities are delivered and the organisation continues to move forward with clarity and pace.
