A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Primavera P6 Planner in Birmingham to support the design and maintenance of substation projects for HS2. This role focuses on developing construction schedules for civils and structural phases, requiring strong NEC contract knowledge and stakeholder engagement skills. The position offers a hybrid working model with 3–4 days in the office.
Are you an experienced P6 Planner with a knowledge of NEC contracts? Do you have experience on Substations / HV Power Upgrades on Rail projects? Salary: £50,000 to £60,000. Location: Birmingham (3–4 days per week in office, remainder from home).
You will be joining the High-Voltage (HV) Traction Power System contract on HS2, one of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure schemes. This package involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of substations and power systems that will deliver the traction power for the new high-speed railway.
I am seeking an experienced Primavera P6 Planner with a strong background in civils planning for substations to support the delivery of multiple substation sites along the HS2 route.
This is a hands-on planning role (not management-focused), where you will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining construction schedules, with a particular focus on the civils and structural build phase of the substations rather than MEP or systems fit-out.
