Are you ready to make a significant impact in the energy sector? As an Outage Plan Risk Officer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Network Operations and Intelligence department at NGET. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team dedicated to providing valuable insights and fostering effective collaboration across various departments.
In this exciting role, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our business operations and performance. You will be responsible for delivering a holistic view of risks associated with our outage plan. By reviewing and reporting on these risks, you will identify, elevate, and manage key portfolio risks, offering essential insights and assurance.
Collaboration is key! You will work closely with stakeholders, including Project Managers and Planners, to enhance insights, develop critical path understanding, and quantify the impacts of risks and mitigations. Your knowledge of power system engineering will enable you to assess the deliverability of our plans and evaluate the adequacy of our mitigations, ensuring that we challenge teams when necessary.
This role is based in our offices in Warwick for one day per week, and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.
To excel in this role, you should possess a technical knowledge and understanding of outage plans, with a background in power system engineering being highly desirable. Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is essential, along with experience in effectively communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders through both written and verbal channels at all levels of the organisation.
You will need excellent stakeholder management and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. The capacity to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision is crucial for success in this position.
Being numerate and computer literate is a must, as is a solid understanding of the utility regulatory environment. Familiarity with the operations and challenges faced by the NGET business will be an advantage.
A competitive salary of £48,300 - £60,000 per annum
