Job summary

National Highways is recruiting an Operational Technology Configuration Manager to strengthen our digital capability within Cyber Security, Digital Operational Services, and Digital Corporate and Shared Services.

You will manage configuration and change across critical OT systems in a safety-critical environment, ensuring accuracy, integrity and lifecycle control, and support deployment of new or upgraded OT solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring, maintaining and supporting complex technical systems in an operational environment.
• Experience in configuration and change management with formal processes and applying controls to minimise operational risk.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and fault investigation skills.
• Experience in incident management and supporting operational resources during incidents or major events.
• Experience in an operational control room or safety-critical environment is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of National Highways operations and associated technology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration information for OT systems ensuring accuracy, integrity, availability and full lifecycle control.
• Complete configuration requests and RFCs through approved tools and governance processes, assessing and coordinating controlled change to minimise operational risk, disruption and downtime.
• Support the planning, testing, validation and deployment of new or upgraded OT systems, ensuring configurations are technically sound and integrated into live environments.
• Provide specialist operational and technical support during incidents, faults and system issues, using a structured approach to identify risks and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and external suppliers.
