Job summary

National Highways is seeking an Operational Technology Configuration Manager to safeguard the reliability, safety and performance of the technology supporting the Strategic Road Network. You will manage configuration, change, testing and troubleshoot in a live safety‑critical environment while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.

The role is hybrid, with two days per week in the office, and can be based at any National Highways office location across the UK; some travel to team

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in complex OT systems and live operations.
• Experience configuring, maintaining and supporting operational tech in safety‑critical environments.
• Proven change management experience with formal governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration information for OT systems across the network.
• Process RFCs and changes to minimise operational risk.
• Plan, test and deploy upgrades to OT systems.
• Provide incident support and coordinate cross‑functional resolutions.
