Job summary

National Highways is recruiting an Operational Technology Configuration Manager to safeguard the reliability, safety and performance of the technology supporting the Strategic Road Network.

The role covers configuring complex OT systems, managing change, testing and deployment, and providing incident support in a live, safety-critical environment. The position is hybrid with two days in the office and travel to UK offices.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring, maintaining and supporting complex technical systems in an operational environment.
• Experience in configuration and change management with formal controls.
• Strong analytical approach to problem solving and assessing change impact.
• Experience in incident management, especially in safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain configuration information for critical OT systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, availability and full lifecycle control.
• Complete configuration requests and RFCs through approved tools and governance processes, assessing and coordinating controlled change to minimise operational risk, disruption and downtime
• Support the planning, testing, validation and deployment of new or upgraded OT systems, ensuring configurations are technically sound and integrated into live environments.
• Provide specialist operational and technical support during incidents, faults and system issues, coordinating resolutions with internal teams and external suppliers
• Maintain accurate asset, geographical and account records in line with cyber security standards, while driving improvements to documentation and configuration processes
• Support and help develop the configuration of advanced traffic management systems and site data design across the Strategic Road Network.
