A leading electricity distribution company in Ludlow is seeking an Operator (Asset Inspector) to inspect network assets and ensure safety compliance. The role requires competency in asset inspection up to 132kV, a full driving license, and effective customer interaction. An opportunity is available for an Operator (Asset Inspector) based at our Ludlow, Shropshire depot. As an Operator - Asset Inspector you will be required to inspect National Grid's Distribution's network assets up to and including 132kV as well as other assets within the Company that have a statutory inspection regime associated with them.
To apply, you will need to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A) or an equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects, such as Functional Skills. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment. Potential candidates should be aware that for some National Grid positions that require working at height, or fall arrest devices, there is an upper weight limit of 130kg due to the maximum safe working load of the safety equipment that is used.
