Location: Coventry (Cross Point - CV2)
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Join our dynamic team in Coventry as an Operations Manager at our Multi-User Site! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our operations and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage cross-functional teams, and implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity and service delivery. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • To take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation to help achieve operational standards and the customer(s)
  • Primary point of contact for customers regarding all operational matters, fostering strong relationships through effective communication and responsiveness, proactively addressing customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining high levels of service quality and satisfaction
  • Drive a Safety First Culture with all individuals in the operation by applying and improving the Safety Standards
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by systematically addressing and removing barriers that hinder departmental performance
  • Enable the effective implementation of the OMS KPI Tree by establishing SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) targets for each indicator
  • Participate in a Critical Analysis Meeting, discussing the shift's overall performance with the site manager and Second Line Leadership, based on the Performance Scorecard to enable the entire operational team to carry out their activities, understanding which actions are needed to improve their performance
  • Clearly communicate the objectives and KPIs relevant to your team, ensuring alignment on the frequency of tracking and reporting methods
  • Review Monthly Resource Planning comparing real vs. forecast of volumes, volume profile and resources assigned
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
  • Previous Operations Management or similar experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
  • Experience within a Multi-User site would be advantageous
  • Proven organisational abilities, efficiently coordinating multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ideally possess a background in e-commerce and retail environments, showcasing an understanding of industry trends, customer behaviour and operational best practices
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and budget management practices
  • Capability of deploying strategic plans for the operation
  • Strong level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills
