Project ImpACT inspires, educates, and empowers teens to create meaningful change in their communities through volunteering and social action, shaping the next generation of active young leaders.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Operations and Events Manager to oversee the seamless execution of our programmes and events. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our impact and ensuring the smooth running of our growing youth initiatives.
- Hours: Full time or part time (including occasional Sundays during school term time). Part time is approximately 4 days per week.
- Location: Hybrid working with attendance at sessions and events in NW London and other areas as required.
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (pro-rata), inclusive of public holidays. The remainder of holidays to be taken during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and oversee the logistics of our volunteering programmes and key events.
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations and risk management protocols.
- Monitor budgets and expenditure related to events and operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with charities, schools, and community partners.
Operational Efficiency & Administration
- Develop and implement systems and processes to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
- Manage administrative tasks, including correspondence, reports, and communications.
- Oversee the coordination and expansion of The Youth Kitchen, a programme that engages young volunteers to cook for food banks and homeless shelters.
- Support and manage youth leaders and volunteers, ensuring they are well prepared.
- Provide clear guidance and training to ensure successful programme execution.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in operations, event planning or project management.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, collaborative and solutions focused approach.
- Strong IT skills, and high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently while being an excellent team player.
- An understanding of the charity sector and Jewish youth engagement.
- A commitment to Project ImpACT’s mission and vision.
- Experience working with youth or within the charity/nonprofit sector.
- Knowledge of budgeting, fundraising, and project management.
- Skills in communications and marketing, including writing promotional material and managing content across social media platforms.
- Experience in managing staff and volunteers.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures.
Training and support will be provided as needed.
