A national charity in Bristol seeks an Operations and Administration Assistant to provide crucial support in managing office functions, communication, and administration. Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of just under 180 organisations which provide over 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Our support services, which include our Live Chat, the Survivors’ Forum, the No Woman Turned Away Project, the Survivor’s Handbook, Love Respect (our dedicated website for young people), the national Women’s Aid Directory and our advocacy projects, help thousands of women and children every year.
The Operations and Administration Assistant will work flexibly to support a range of charity functions, specifically office management and administration within our fundraising team. The post holder will hold a varied range of responsibilities and will be crucial in keeping Women’s Aid running efficiently.
This role will provide administrative and operational support for the organisation, including maintaining Health and Safety arrangements in the office, managing incoming email queries to our main info@ email address, managing equipment provisions for new starters and leavers and keeping the office equipment running smoothly.
This role will support the Fundraising team, providing administrative and operational support, including maintaining the fundraising CRM.
We’re looking for someone with great people skills, as well as drive, initiative and determination. You’ll be diligent with details and accuracy and have a dynamic approach to your work. You will be a natural problem solver, always looking to improve upon current process to improve on efficiency. The post holder will develop and maintain both internal and external contacts and will need a thorough understanding of Women’s Aid work.
