The Senior Manager is responsible for the effective execution of all aspects of client engagements and maintaining strong relationships with senior client personnel. The Senior Manager must have a solid understanding of their clients’ business and be able to demonstrate technical competence in their product group and industry. For this role we require someone with strong capability in the build implementation and/or assurance of operational resilience frameworks to meet global regulatory requirements and business objectives including Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the UK operational resilience regime. The Senior Manager ensures quality and satisfaction on engagements and must be able to clearly articulate the value drivers of our business. The Senior Manager is responsible for developing opportunities both at existing clients and new clients and is responsible for project set‑up and economics and for ensuring the timely close and billing of projects.
What You Can Expect:
- Manage the delivery of client engagements against Protiviti standards for engagement management within the risk and compliance solution.
- Managing both Protiviti and client employees.
- Project and programme planning execution and tracking.
- Development and quality assurance of engagement deliverables.
- Reporting and presenting to senior client and Protiviti staff on project deliverables status and risk.
- Effectively develop and manage client relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Develop proposals and bid materials for client advisory / consulting engagements with existing and new clients primarily within the Risk & Compliance team.
- Demonstrate expertise in specific technical areas and/or industries and deliver specific product solutions to clients.
- Develop Protiviti go‑to‑market propositions and thought leadership including white papers, FAQs and other marketing materials.
- Assist with the development of engagement methodology and procedures, some of which will be generic and others more specific including aspects of regulatory requirements, supervision, operational risk frameworks and assessments, governance issues, enterprise risk management and internal audit reviews.
- Market and enhance Protiviti profile in the Financial Services market through excellent delivery and client management on engagements.
- Development of client opportunities through the identification of new engagement opportunities and leveraging relationships within engagements.
- Maintaining client contacts made through the course of the individual's career.
- Representing Protiviti at conferences and other external events.
- Promoting Protiviti values and philosophies.
- Liaise with other offices globally to leverage existing contacts and provide a considered and consistent approach to the market.
- Contribute to employee development by actively mentoring employees, creating development opportunities, initiating and conducting training.
- Participate in recruiting efforts to support Protiviti business objectives.
- Enhance technical and operational knowledge through coaching from team and industry specific training, seminars, forums, and ensure this knowledge is shared with team members.
- Strong demonstrated capability in the build implementation and/or assurance of operational resilience frameworks to meet global regulatory requirements and business objectives including DORA and the UK operational resilience regime.
- Experience delivering regulatory projects, including consumer duty & conduct risk, governance design & review, compliance monitoring, testing, operational risk, risk & controls transformation, process mining, anti‑financial crime, lender due diligence, skilled person review and reports (S166).
- Third‑party risk management knowledge would also be an advantage.
- A first‑class track record of client service delivery and a deep understanding of the risks impacting the Financial Services industry sector.
- Experience developing risk‑based frameworks, policies, procedures and checklists that promote best practice above minimum regulatory standards and the ability to lead regulatory impact assessments.
- Contributed to the design and implementation of target operating models for an effective Compliance function or regulation‑impacted process.
- Prior leadership experience in execution on client engagements and development of senior client relationships.
- Proven background in business development and ability to foster relationships within the business community.
- Strong people skills to interact and motivate teams and foster client relationships.
- Strong track record of employee development through mentoring, creating development opportunities, providing regular constructive feedback, and initiating and conducting training.
- Independent self‑starters with capability to operate autonomously when needed.

- Recognised knowledge and experience of one or more segments of the Financial Services Market.
- Excellent written, listening, verbal communication and presentation skills including documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Desirable to have experience in developing and delivering solution offerings / sales channels with Leadership team.
- Useful to have supported the creation of digital use cases or design and implementation of digital tools to enhance operational resilience capabilities, reduce risks and costs, and improve control.
- Beneficial to have some experience delivering internal audit engagements; Senior Manager, Computer Science, Operational Risk Management, Risk Management, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Lean, Process Improvement, Pricing, Customer Support, Alteryx, Kaizen, Project Management Lifecycle.
