Job description
Overview

Colchester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Operating Department Practitioner to join our caring, supportive, and compassionate team. This post is ideal if you are passionate about your profession and committed to delivering high-quality patient focused care. Our theatre suites comprise 17 theatres, including a hybrid vascular theatre, three robotic systems for abdominal & pelvic surgery, and three laparoscopic theatres. You will receive excellent in-house training to support all areas of working across Anaesthetics. A flexible approach to working shifts is required.

Responsibilities
  • To provide clinically effective, high quality, individualised peri-operative patient care working within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To promote a safe and attractive working environment that encourages learning.
  • To contribute to the continuing development of peri-operative and professional practice ensuring practice is evidence based.
  • To support the integration of clinical governance into all aspects of patient care delivery.
  • To demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to achieve the learning outcomes of departmental programmes and competencies.
